Doomsday has come for a classic member of the Avengers. Marvel has reached the first chapter of its latest series of events, AX: Doomsdaywith Earth’s greatest heroes succeeding and failing to stop the war between the X-Men and the Eternals. AX: Doomsday #2 Conclude with Iron Man, Ajak, Makkari, and Mister Sinister to revive the Celestials who act as the Avengers Mountain and influence them enough to order the Eternals under Druig to halt their attack on Krakow. However, what they did not expect was that the Heavenly Known Ancestor then decided to rule over the citizens of Earth.
ComicBook.com has an exclusive preview of AX: Doomsday #3 By Kieron Gillen, Valerio Schiti, Marte Gracia, and VC’s Clayton Cowles. The preview begins immediately after the second edition is over, and Ajak wonders how they could possibly have gone so wrong. The ancestor will judge each person on Earth individually, and then decide the fate of the planet through the majority rule: the percentage of those who make judgments against those who do not. Of course, the blame game was passed to Iron Man, who had a hand in the birth of the Celestial.
When Captain America steps up to be the voice of reason, the Progenitor decides to make Cap the first person to pass judgment on him. In a beautifully illustrated sequence, Celestial transforms to appear as Captain America with his classic shield and the American flag flowing from his back. Seeing Captain America is a symbol of the country being the unmistakable leader of the world, and it’s not a good show that the world is getting worse every day. Therefore, the predecessor considers Captain America a “failure”, and gives Cap a “rejection” symbol.
“If he judges Cap by this standard, what chance do the rest of us have?” Iron Man meditating. Even after the negative judgment, Captain America remains conservative. He asks his teammates to work on finding a way out of this situation, while embarking on the task of keeping the world calm.
